Entry To Exit Data
ENTRY TO EXIT DATA
Bredon Hill Academy is a Year 6 – Year 8, 10-13 Middle School.
It is important to be mindful of the fact that the progress pupils make MUST be judged from the time they join the school in Year 6 to the time they leave in Year 8.
A 10-13 Middle School should not be judged on progress from KS1 (end of Year 2) to KS2 (end of Year 6). The National Middle Schools Forum continues to challenge the DfE regarding this. At BHA, 75% of this progress measure used, relates to years 3, 4 and 5 when pupils are NOT attending middle school.
It also takes no account of the progress pupils make in Years 7 and 8 (KS3). Ofsted are aware of this and as such should judge Bredon Hill on the progress of pupils from entry Year 6 to exit Year 8.
Bredon Hill uses rigorous, robust and externally benchmarked data and assessments to make judgements about pupils’ progress in the three years that pupils attend.
GL Assessment tests, which the school uses, are recognised by Ofsted and the DfE as credible, when judging progress.
Below is the data relating to our 2015 entry, who left in the summer of 2018. This represents outstanding progress.
