Jeans for Genes Day 23rd Sept

Bredon Hill Academy’s first charity fundraising effort as an Academy will be to raise money and awareness of the many and varied genetic disorders facing people, young and old, in the world today

One in twenty five children born today is born with a genetic disorder.  Just one fault can result in a child being blind, confined to a wheelchair or living their life in constant chronic pain.  On “Jeans for Genes” Day, Friday 23rd September, BHA pupils are invited to ‘amend’ their school uniform slightly for one day and wear jeans to school.  By also bringing in a £1 donation, they will help to raise money that will go towards helping the half a million children living every day with a genetic disorder in the UK.

Please note that this is NOT a non-uniform day and that a school shirt, tie and blazer must still be worn.
