Today we met with our penpals at 'le college Mauboussin ' in Mamers. 

We spent the day practising our language skills, having conversations in French and in English to find out more about each other . We played games, recognising key cultural features from both countries and challenged ourselves with tongue twisters in both French and English! After having a delicious 4 course meal in the canteen in the company of our French penpals, some of us played table tennis in the playground. The new school building looks amazing and the sun shined for us for our group photo for the local French newspaper. 

In the afternoon we went back to the classrooms and couldn't wait to exchange our presents. 

We toured the school and had fantastic guides who shared their experiences of school life in France. We also did a reading activity about the school and found out about their different school rules. After an emotional farewell,  we walked into Mamers and visited the local bakery and 'superette' for a well-deserved snack! Some of us enjoyed a pain au chocolate whilst others opted for coffee éclairs, meringues and whole baguettes! 

Our next stop was the bowling in Alençon, where the pupils thoroughly enjoyed a game!
