Head’s Welcome

” The behaviour of students is outstanding. Students’ attitudes to learning are exemplary, as is their behaviour both in lessons and around the school. They are punctual in arriving for lessons and are excited by their learning. They are excellent ambassadors for the school. ” Ofsted 2015

At Bredon Hill we value honesty, integrity, diligence and learning as a lifelong experience. We believe in challenging students in every activity that they undertake and that they perform best when they are educated in a safe environment. Our staff care about our pupils and take time to listen to their views. The school has an ethos of personal achievement, responsibility and leadership and mutual respect for all members of our community. We celebrate the many talents and skills that each and every student brings to our school through a variety of rewards and praise.

We recognise that every individual is different and that an outstanding education is each child’s entitlement. We see the need to provide all students with opportunities to develop their individual character and believe that a strong and supportive partnership with parents is crucial to pupils’ happiness and success. This is achieved through regular communication about progress and an excellent pastoral care system.

The academic standards of the school are very high and superb extra-curricular opportunities in Music, the Arts, STEM and Sports complement learning during the school day. As an International School many cultural, historical and educational visits allow our young people and staff to widen their horizons and enrich their lives. High standards of behaviour, uniform and discipline are vital for effective learning and pupil self-esteem. Pupils are aware of their rights and responsibilities. Our academy has a number of unique factors in its favour. It is a delightful place to teach and has, most importantly, dedicated, well qualified specialist staff and ambitious, talented and hardworking students educated today, to meet the challenges they will face in an ever changing world.

The board of directors and governors of the school are dedicated and hard working. They also expect the very best for each pupil in our care. ” The governing body is extremely well organised and has a detailed and comprehensive knowledge of the school, including the quality of teaching.” Ofsted 2015

We are an open and welcoming school with an enormous amount to offer. I hope that you will share our ambition for your child to experience an excellent and enjoyable education and we would welcome any prospective parents and pupils observing us in action.
