Plans for the next convoy to Belarus in April 2010, organised by the charity Chernobyl 2000, are progressing well. Two staff and eight pupils in Year 8 will be joining this year’s convoy. We will be leaving Evesham on 3rd April and returning on 13th April after delivering the aid and visiting our partner school in Dzerzhinsk.
The charity Chernobyl 2000 still requires many items for the convoy to deliver to the much needed areas we will be visiting in Belarus. If you have any of the following items and would like to donate them to Belarus please bring them into school and we will arrange to take them to the warehouse. Every item must be in good condition.
- Clothes for babies and children.
- Shoes (and sports shoes) for adults and children.
- Sports clothing.
- Bedding, towels, curtains, soft furnishings.
- Dining tables and chairs, easy chairs, 2 seater settees.
- Small cupboards single wardrobes, bedside cabinets, small items of bedroom furniture.
- Single beds and bunk beds with mattresses.
- Kitchen utensils and electrical equipment.
- Cookers and washing machines.
- Educational and activity toys (not soft toys).
- School tables and desks.
- Playground equipment.
- Sports equipment.
- Garden Tools.
- Cleaning materials and equipment.
Please contact school about any very large items as these can be collected by the charity or taken straight to their warehouse. |
