Religious Education and Collective Worship Religious Education (R.E.) is non-denominational in character and is taught in agreement with the approved Local Education Authority syllabus. Lessons cover many aspects of Christianity and other world religions. Moral, spiritual and ethical issues are explored in a non-denominational manner. All pupils attend a daily act of worship in the form of an assembly. These are full school, year or form assemblies and they cover a range of themes and issues. Parents may withdraw their child from a part of R.E or from the Act of Collective Worship. Requests for withdrawal should be discussed with the Headteacher in the first instance. Arrangements for alternative provision will be agreed with parents.
