The extra curricula programme is extensive and aims to offer something for everyone. The School has links with Bredon Buzzards Rugby Club, Worcester Athletic Club, Bredon Football Club and Evesham Hockey Club. The aims of physical education at Bredon Hill Middle School are:
The already successful house system continues to flourish across a range of sporting activities. This is extended further with a three tier, representative system for competitive sport, entitled 'Tri-Pairs'. Six houses will lead to an increase in numbers of participants, allowing more children to represent their house in competition. In the 'Tri-Pairs competitions each house is paired with another and a representative team is selected to compete against the other 'Pairs' in all our major sports. This will allow many pupils to compete at a higher level, and we hope to raise the standards of our school teams. Tri pairs competitions take place in all year groups in sports such as Rugby, Football, Hockey and Netball. These activities tend to be seasonal and fit alongside the school curriculum. The Physical Education department is also involved in the South Worcestershire PESSCL strategy. This is where a number of first, middle and high schools network with each other through a Partnership Development Manger (PDM) to provide shared resources, coaches and good practice to enhance their own schools sporting growth. Bredon Hill currently has its on one day a week PESSCO based at the school on Mondays. Bredon Hill has a strong tradition of success in many sports. In 2008/2009 they gained honours in district Athletics, Rugby, Football and Hockey. Many of the students are listed on the Gifted and Talented register and have represented county level in a variety of sports. In 2006 new Basketball posts and backboards where erected on the Tennis court area and will be used to enhance both the curriculum and OSHL opportunities for all students. The school has been accredited the Sport England Sportsmark in 2008 for its outstanding contribution to school sports provision and continues to maintain a high reputation for sporting success.
